Heroes Day is Thursday October 2, 2014

Heroes Day celebrates and honors all Southern Arizona first responders. On Thursday, October 2th, we will honor several local heroes who  have gone beyond the call of duty with the 6th Annual Heroes Day Award.

As in previous years, the Heroes Day council worked with over 30 departments of first responders and received many deserving nominations.

Heroes Day includes special events including our morning awards presentation at La Encantada as well as free breakfast and lunch to all uniformed first responders at the five Jack Furrier Tire & Auto Care Heroes Day locations below:

 Speedway between Craycroft and Wilmot- 5852 E. Speedway Blvd.

 22nd Street East of Pantano-8080 E. 22St

 Ina Rd. 1 block West of Old Father, 4291 W. Ina Rd

 First Ave. South of Ft. Lowell, 3002 N. First Ave.

 Oracle Rd. between Magee & Ina-7846 N. Oracle Rd.

We encourage Tucson and surrounding community members to stop by any of these locations on October 2, 2014 to say thank you in person to the our first responders in attendance and participate in signing our thank you banners. Any donations collected will benefit The University of Arizona Medical Center- Trauma Program.

Heroes Day is a volunteer effort supported by local businesses providing their talents and time to make the day special for our first responders. We ask that you remember all of our sponsors and support their efforts as they have supported Heroes Day. A special thanks goes to Jack Furrier Tire & Auto care who is presenting Heroes Day and partnering with University of Arizona Medical Center (UAMC) Foundation to provide an event that also raises awareness and funds for University of Arizona Medical Center (UAMC) Trauma Center, the only level 1 Trauma Center in Southern Arizona.
